We are looking for an analyst to work on customer business problems.  This job will involve the application of quantitative methods to diagnose a situation so that a course for action can be developed.  The role involves review of research data, analysis of financial data and donor behavioral data.  The candidate will also be involved in the development of presentation material for our clients.  This position will work closely with the account team providing our services, as well as input on the product development of our software services.  Furthermore, this position helps resolve technical solutions that relate to customer data issues that support the Reeher Platform service.  It is an excellent position for a candidate looking for exposure to a broad range of business issues.  <br /><br />

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree with a strong quantitative orientation.  Math, Statistics, Economics, or Finance would provide the right grounding in tools and principals.  This person would already be a strong user of Excel, and if not proficient already, be interested in learning additional analytics tools (i.e. SPSS or SAS) that our firm uses in delivering its services.  The candidate would also need to have strong team skills.  The work environment is demanding and rewarding with opportunities for engagement across the organization. <br /><br />

(April 27, 2012) — For Advancement Vice Presidents and Annual Fund Directors, the reasons behind what’s driving results for annual giving are often murky at best. While a glimpse of participation rate, donors and dollars isn’t hard to find, reasons for progress or decline can be hidden. Large gifts, shifts in participation and the inherent challenges in an institution’s ability to acquire new annual fund donors obscure understanding of what’s really driving changes in results. The paradox is that this understanding of improvement drivers is critical to sustained success for annual fund.<br /><br />
The new Annual Fund Operating Report feature in the web-based Reeher Platform has been created to fill this gap. This new tab in the Annual Fund Dashboard gives annual fund leaders an immediate picture of results in key areas of their program, such as summaries by Retained Donor Migration, Giving Level, Channel, Relationship Type, among others. These indicators are presented in dynamic tables and can be compared to previous years to reflect shifts in results and progress based on changing tactics.<br /><br />

<b>Position Description:</b><br />
The Customer Success Manager’s responsibility is to drive customer adoption and success within a network of customers.  This individual should be comfortable at both consulting with and negotiating with senior fundraising management, backed by a strong understanding of their business objectives.  Key to this role is the ability to articulate value, inspire and sell the Platforms ability to improve fundraising productivity.  As a trusted advisor and coach, the CSM determines how the Platform can be effectively applied to support the achievement of the customers strategic business goals.<br /><br />

Customer renewals are achieved by driving high adoption through initiatives designed to add business value, dissemination of best practices, fulfilling a trusted advisor role, and knowledge of product capabilities.  The CSM should have a good understanding of fundraising management business processes, as well as strong account management expertise.<br /><br />

The CSM will be responsible for driving adoption and utilization across their customer base.  This person will work closely with renewals management to help negotiate and drive renewals to successful completion.  They will maintain strong relationships with multiple contacts within the assigned customers including senior executive roles.  They will provide the escalation point for issues that impact the customer’s success.  They will maintain strong relationships with the Companies other customer-facing personnel in Sales, Marketing and the Product Team.<br /><br />

<b>Responsibilities:</b><br />
• Develop trusted relationship with the customer executive sponsor (Business Owner) for the Platform relationship<br />
• Define and maintain the customer business objectives, (Advisor Agenda) for each customer relationship<br />
• Manage resources for training and configuration in support of the customers Advisor Agenda<br />
• Conduct quarterly meetings to provide progress reports to the Business Owner<br />
• Introduce customer to new functionality or training curriculum related to their business priorities<br />
• Serving as a customer advocate in identifying areas for Reeher product development, curriculum development, and fundraising best practice<br />
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of relationship with an institution for additional products, and work with sales to secure that business<br />
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Reeher Platform, and its application in the world of fundraising management<br />

(April 11, 2012) — Saint John’s University has joined the Reeher Platform, the first shared management system dedicated to higher-education fundraising in which features and tools added for one customer benefit all. Located in Collegeville, Minn., this nationally recognized liberal arts university serves nearly 2000 male students and more than 30,000 alumni. <br /><br />

Like many well-established universities, Saint John’s has a comprehensive, mature advancement program with a team of 38 people serving a wide array of responsibilities including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving and alumni relations. The advancement team had tried several times to create their own database software program that could easily generate reports on a daily basis to show fundraising activity. Each time, they were met with challenges and the end result was not satisfactory. <br /><br />

“We were talking about building our own software program when we received a call from Reeher,” says Rob Culligan, Saint John’s University vice president of institutional advancement. “We spent a short time evaluating the pros and cons of building it ourselves versus the Reeher Platform. It was one of the easiest and best decisions I’ve ever made. The Platform is fast, flexible and easy to use. I know we couldn’t have produced something that would have even come close to the Reeher Platform.”<br /><br />

Heading into the university’s next campaign of raising $160 million, the advancement team identified prospect management and major giving as two areas that required strengthening to reach their campaign goals. (March 22, 2012) — Reeher LLC announced that Wellesley College has joined the Reeher Platform, the first shared management system dedicated to higher-education fundraising in which features and tools added for one customer benefit all. Located near Boston, the world’s pre-eminent liberal arts college for women serves approximately 2,400 students and 31,000 alumnae, and is regularly included in the top 10 of U.S. News and World Report’s National Liberal Arts College Rankings. <br /><br />

While philanthropy is strong among Wellesley alumnae, and every campaign has set a new record for giving, development leaders turned to the Reeher Platforms for Major Giving and Annual Fund to provide a faster, user-friendly way to share information with its gift officers any time from any location to enhance alumnae engagement and giving.<br /><br />

“The Reeher Platform and Targeter tool provide an interactive, real-time and outstanding visual presentation of data that’s easily accessible to our gift officers and leadership, allowing our team to be faster, more efficient and take advantage of opportunities to meet with more alumnae,” says Kathy Flynn, Wellesley College director of development operations. “Immediately after training, our gift officers were out on the road using the Platform to plan trips, identify new potential donors who have an affinity to Wellesley but haven’t been on our radar, and add more appointments while on the road. They’re using the Platform on their iPads and laptops, which provides the speed, independence and empowerment they need to continue improving the outcome.”<br /><br />

Cameran Mason, vice president for resources and public affairs, says the design of the dashboard, views and accessibility appealed to the Wellesley development team, along with its customized predictive models capable of uncovering previously untapped top prospects. Mason was also intrigued by the shared knowledge of the Reeher Community Network, which is made available to all users to improve and benefit everyone using the Platform.<br /><br />

(March 7, 2012) — Reeher LLC announced today that Skidmore College has joined the Reeher Platform, the first shared management system dedicated to higher-education fundraising in which features and tools added for one customer benefit all. The private liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, NY, began using the Platform in late January 2012 to support its growing annual fund, major gift, parent and gift planning initiatives, especially for prioritizing prospective donors. The college considers Reeher an integral partner to increasing donor prospects by 25 percent and the number of donors who annually give $10,000 or more by 10 percent over the next two to three years.<br /><br />
Skidmore immediately took advantage of the data provided by the Reeher Platform. The college’s development department has already identified more than 100 new high-potential major gift prospects – constituents with high wealth and a high inclination to make a gift – for staff to reach out to for the remainder of this fiscal year. Additionally, Paul Budlong, director of the annual fund at Skidmore College, reports that in the first two weeks of use, the Reeher Platform results spurred the college to alter the approach to its student caller program. The program, a key way the college connects with alumni, used data from the Reeher Platform to reorganize the alumni into new tiers. In just three weeks, the program saw a 50-percent increase in gifts, a 30-percent increase in pledges and a nearly 40-percent increase in cash donations, as compared to a year ago. There has also been an overall increase in response rates and a decrease in refusals.<br /><br />
“Skidmore College is growing every year, and our development results need to grow with it,” Budlong says of the institution, which serves 2,400 students and has approximately 30,000 alumni. “It’s more important than ever to focus on your best prospects, those who are most likely to be receptive to giving, instead of casting as wide a net as possible and seeing what comes back to us. The Reeher Platform’s ability to prioritize prospective donors was a key factor in choosing the tool.”<br /><br />

In addition to the ability to prioritize prospective donors, Skidmore College selected the Reeher Platform for its ease of use and intuitive web-based management. Budlong and his colleagues Tracy Barlok, associate vice president of advancement, and John Chaplin, director of leadership gifts, noted that none of the alternative tools they evaluated offered all of the features of the Reeher Platform in one web-based solution. Finally, the leadership team wanted a tool that their 20-person staff would find easy to adopt and use in their day-to-day work. <br /><br />

“After a month of using the Reeher Platform, our officers are like kids in a candy shop; they’re very excited about the new prospects we’ve found using the Platform,” Chaplin says. “I was also impressed that a team of people from Reeher, including founder Andrew Reeher, spent two days on site training our gift officers and research staff. Anyone with 15 minutes can learn how to use the tool, but to have the team here spending one-on-one time with our officers during the first couple of days to ensure that the go-live went smoothly? The public Philadelphia-based university, which serves approximately 39,000 students and nearly 280,000 alumni, is using the Reeher Platform to optimize annual giving programs, increase major giving effectiveness and maintain strong alumni relations.<br /><br />

“After recently coming out of a campaign, we are looking to reinvigorate and expand our donor base,” says Joseph G. Kain, Jr., Director - Advancement Analytics, Institutional Advancement at Temple University. “We needed a user-friendly dashboard to determine progress and identify our most viable prospects.
