University of Delaware Selects Reeher Platforms to Improve and Maximize Fundraising Results

(August 17, 2010) — Reeher LLC announced today that the University of Delaware has selected the Reeher Platform for Major Gifts and the Reeher Platform for Annual Fund to improve fundraising effectiveness and efficiency. The 20,000-student university chose the Reeher Platforms to help its rapidly growing team of gift officers quickly understand the donor landscape, and identify and manage top prospects. The University of Delaware is the first state flagship institution to use the Reeher Platforms.

“We serve more than 200,000 alumni and friends of the university, but our overall alumni giving has been from a somewhat small cadre of very loyal and generous supporters. We were looking for an effective solution to help us broaden our base of support, and help us identify top prospects and prioritize opportunities out of that large base,” says Monica Taylor, University of Delaware Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations. “In the past, our research was manually driven by our Research staff. Both Reeher Platforms are populated with existing information about alumni and friends of the university, their respective wealth status, and other relevant demographics. The platforms add valuable external consumer data into the equation to predict alumni giving, help forecast the value of potential contributors, and understand their likelihood of donating. By adding critical behavior data, the Reeher Platforms are able to provide more accurate targeting and better results.

The University of Delaware’s current team of 17 gift officers – expanding to 50 front line gift officers over the next five to six years – will apply the Reeher Platforms to maximize fundraising efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining the process to identify donors with an affinity to the university, and prioritizing outreach.

Clemson University Selects Reeher Platforms to Improve Fundraising Effectiveness

ST. PAUL, MINN. (June 10, 2010) — Reeher LLC announced today that Clemson University will integrate the Reeher Platform for Major Gifts and the Reeher Platform for Annual Fund into its fundraising efforts in order to help its gift officers more easily understand which prospects are most likely to donate to the university. The South Carolina-based university considered several options, including building its own software solution, and decided that the Reeher Platforms were the best fit for its data-management needs.

“Several companies specialize in predictive modeling, but our challenge was once we had that data, how could we push it out to our development officers in an easy, manageable and effective way,” says Kate Troelstra, Senior Director of Development for Major Gifts, Clemson University. “The Reeher Platforms gave us the tools to get at that data, to slice it and dice it, and have easy access to it.” Clemson plans to integrate the platforms into its development efforts beginning July 1 and running through 2012. Clemson is also the first university to implement the Reeher Platform for Planned Giving, a new component designed to help organizations identify the best prospects for planned gifts.

Reeher LLC has announced a new solution to help universities identify the social media connections among their constituents, allowing advancement and development officers to engage with alumni at a never-before-possible level -- through each alum’s preferred social media network. Reeher’s Social Media Targeter is the first solution to utilize cutting-edge data and analytics to provide detailed intelligence on alumni social media usage.

With Social Media Targeter, universities who subscribe to the Reeher Platform now have the option to identify which alumni are using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and over two dozen other social media networks, and target their outreach accordingly.
